Buhari Missing at Juma'at Prayer

There are strong indications that President Muhammadu Buhari did not attend Juma'at prayer at Aso Rock mosque on Friday, April 28, 2017.

The reason for the president's absence remains unknown as at press time.

Vanguard Newspaper is reporting that Governors Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State); Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara State) and Abdulahi Ganduje (Kano State) were amongst those that worshiped at the Villa Mosque.

The State House had on Thursday issued a statement that the president was recuperating at his private residence, a reason why he is rarely seen in the public.

Aso Villa also assured Nigerians yesterday that there is no need for panic over the health of the president despite concerns being raised in the media.

This will be the first time that the president will be absent at the mosque since he returned to the country after a 49-day medical vacation in the  UK.
