The Major goals of World bank Group are to end extreme poverty by 2030 and and to promote shared prosperity that are aligned to support the sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .The extreme weather events will likely threaten the objective of sustainably eradicating poverty.Sub Sahara Africa countries are most vulnerable to extreme climate related shocks ,adopting climate -smart practices ,developing enabling policies and institutions and mobilizing financing from development partners will enable the region to adopt and contribute to climate change mitigation.
